Why is my business not showing up on Google, and how do I fix it?

If customers cannot find you, the cause is usually one of a few common, fixable issues rather than anything exotic.

The profile is unverified or suspended

An unverified Google Business Profile will not appear in the map results. Check the status inside the profile dashboard and complete any pending verification.

The site has no page that matches the search

If someone searches for a service you offer and you have no page clearly about that service, there is nothing for Google to rank. Create a dedicated, well written page.

The site is not indexed

A brand-new site, or one blocked by a stray setting, may not be in the index yet. Submit the sitemap in Google Search Console and check the coverage report for errors.

Inconsistent or duplicate listings

Duplicate profiles and mismatched addresses split your signals and can suppress visibility. Merge or remove duplicates and make every detail consistent.

It is simply too early

A new site or profile can take weeks to gain visibility. If the fundamentals are right, the honest answer is often to keep the information accurate and wait.
